FURNI-SURE LLC — TERMS OF SERVICE
Last updated: October 15, 2026
1. About These Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Furni-Sure LLC, a California limited liability company based in San Diego (“Furni-Sure,” “we,” “us”). They apply to our website, booking, quote and appointment-change forms, emails and related services (the “Platform”). By booking a service, requesting a quote, applying as a provider or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. Our Role as a Marketplace
Furni-Sure connects customers (“Clients”) with independent service providers (“Providers”). Furni-Sure does not perform services and does not supervise or control how Providers do their work. Providers are independent contractors, not employees or agents of Furni-Sure. Your agreement for the work itself is with the Provider.
3. Eligibility
To use the Platform you must be at least 18 years old, own the service property or have the owner’s permission for the work, and give accurate, current information (name, email, phone number and service address).
4. Booking, Scheduling and Quotes
Estimates. Estimates shown when you book are based on the Provider’s posted rates and are not final prices.
Hourly services. Hourly services are not estimated when you book. The Provider records the actual hours worked when the job is done, agreed with you, and they are billed at the Provider’s posted hourly rate.
Start times. You choose a preferred date and a 30-minute start time within the Provider’s posted hours. Times the Provider is already booked are not available. The Provider confirms the exact appointment time, and you both receive a calendar invitation.
Quotes and site visits. Quote requests and site visits are free. A quote is accepted only when you use its Accept step.
Bigger Jobs. Jobs of $1,000 or more in labor and materials go through our Bigger Jobs process and are matched only with Providers holding a valid California CSLB license. Jobs may not be split to stay under this limit. Furni-Sure may hold a booking or invoice until a licensed Provider is confirmed.
Moving services. Moving services are offered only by Providers with a verified California household mover permit and verified insurance (see Section 6). Furni-Sure may hold a moving booking until both are confirmed.
Added charges. Additional labor, materials/tools and a travel fee, if any, appear as separate lines on your invoice. Providers should discuss them with you before adding them.
5. Client Responsibilities
You agree to secure valuables, remove or protect fragile items, disclose known hazards (such as wiring, plumbing, asbestos or pets), give the Provider safe access to the work area, have an adult (18+) present for the appointment, and not request work that legally requires a license or permit the Provider does not hold.
6. Provider Requirements
Providers agree to act professionally and lawfully and to perform work with reasonable skill and care. Providers must consent to a background check through our screening partner (Checkr) and receive a clear result before being approved. Providers must carry general liability insurance to accept jobs over $1,500, and must hold a valid California CSLB license for work that requires one, including jobs of $1,000 or more in labor and materials. Providers offering moving services must hold a valid household mover permit from the California Bureau of Household Goods and Services (BHGS) and current insurance, both verified by Furni-Sure, before moving services are offered to Clients.
7. Pricing, Platform Fee and Payments
Booking deposit. A $1.00 deposit is charged when you book (or accept a quote) to save your card on file. It is credited toward your final invoice.
Your invoice. After the job, you receive an itemized invoice showing the agreed service price; hourly services (hours worked × the Provider’s hourly rate); any additional labor, additional materials/tools (with receipts where available) and travel fee; a Furni-Sure platform fee equal to 12% of the total of those items; and the $1.00 deposit credit.
Platform fee. The 12% platform fee is charged to the Client on top of the Provider’s price. It pays for the Platform, booking, payment processing and support, and is not deducted from the Provider’s price.
Due date and automatic charge. Invoices are due within 48 hours of receipt. If unpaid after 48 hours, you authorize Furni-Sure LLC to charge your saved payment method for the balance due.
Billing questions. Questions about any invoice line, including hours billed, must be raised within 24 hours of receiving the invoice.
Processing. Payments are processed by Stripe. Furni-Sure does not store your full card number.
8. Cancellations, No-Shows and Refunds
When the Client cancels, the following is charged to the saved card:
24 or more hours before the scheduled start time: Free.
Less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time: $35.00 late-cancellation fee plus the 12% platform fee ($4.20), $39.20 in total.
At or after the scheduled start time, after the Provider arrives, or no one is home / no access (no-show): $60.00 on-site cancellation fee plus the 12% platform fee ($7.20), $67.20 in total.
How to cancel or reschedule. Use the Cancel or Reschedule link in your confirmation email. Cancellations take effect right away. A reschedule is a request: your current appointment stands until the Provider confirms the new time. There is no fee to request a reschedule.
Where cancellation fees go. The full cancellation fee ($35.00 or $60.00) goes to the Provider for their reserved time and travel. Furni-Sure’s 12% platform fee is added on top. If a late-cancellation fee was already charged for the same appointment and an on-site fee then applies, only the difference is charged.
Authorization. By booking, you authorize Furni-Sure LLC to charge your saved payment method for any cancellation fee that applies under this section. You will receive an email receipt for any charge.
Provider cancellations. If a Provider cancels, there is no fee to you and Furni-Sure refunds your $1.00 deposit, or helps you rebook with another Provider.
Refunds for completed work. Refund requests must be made within 24 hours of completion by replying to your invoice email or contacting us (Section 19). Approved refunds go back to the original payment method.
9. Tips, Reviews and Photos
Tips are optional and go to the Provider, less the card processing fee (about 2.9% + $0.30), and are non-refundable. Reviews and star ratings must be honest and based on your own experience. Furni-Sure may highlight Providers with high ratings (for example as Featured Providers or Featured Pros) and may remove reviews that are false, abusive or unrelated to the job. Providers may show photos of finished work that contain no people, addresses or other identifying details; you can opt out by telling us or your Provider.
10. Provider Fees and Payouts
Provider price. Providers receive 100% of their price for the job: the agreed service price, hourly labor, and any additional labor, materials/tools and travel fee. Furni-Sure’s 12% platform fee is paid by the Client on top of that price (Section 7) and is not deducted from it.
Hours worked. For hourly services, the Provider enters the actual hours worked on the Job Complete form, as agreed with the Client. Hours must be accurate; Furni-Sure may review hours if a Client disputes them.
Card processing. Stripe charges about 2.9% + $0.30 on each card payment. On the invoice payment, the Provider covers 88% of that fee and Furni-Sure covers 12%. The Provider’s copy of each invoice shows this amount and their payout. On tips, the card processing fee is deducted from the tip.
Cancellation fees. Providers receive 100% of any late ($35.00) or on-site ($60.00) cancellation fee collected under Section 8. Furni-Sure keeps only the 12% platform fee added on top and covers the card processing fee on cancellation charges.
Payouts. Payouts are sent through Stripe Connect in a weekly Friday payout after the Client pays. Providers must keep their Stripe account in good standing.
Taxes. Providers are responsible for their own taxes, licenses, permits and business expenses.
11. Damage and Theft Claims
Report any damage, theft or loss within 72 hours of the job’s completion, and send photos within 7 days, to furnisure.ali@gmail.com or (619) 929-4065. We share the claim with the Provider, who must respond within 3 business days. Valid claims are resolved by the Provider or the Provider’s insurer. Furni-Sure helps coordinate but is not the insurer and does not pay claims for Provider work.
12. Release and Assumption of Risk
Because Providers are independent and Furni-Sure does not perform or supervise their work, you release Furni-Sure LLC and its owners, employees and agents from claims, damages and losses arising from a Provider’s work, conduct or property, to the fullest extent allowed by law. You waive California Civil Code Section 1542, which states: “A general release does not extend to claims that the creditor or releasing party does not know or suspect to exist in his or her favor at the time of executing the release and that, if known by him or her, would have materially affected his or her settlement with the debtor or released party.” This release does not cover Furni-Sure’s own fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence or violation of law.
13. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, Furni-Sure’s total liability for any claim is limited to the platform fees Furni-Sure received for the job in question, and Furni-Sure is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages.
14. Indemnification
Providers agree to indemnify and hold Furni-Sure harmless from claims arising from their work, conduct, licensing, permits, insurance or taxes. Clients agree to indemnify and hold Furni-Sure harmless from claims arising from inaccurate information they provide, undisclosed hazards at the property, or their violation of these Terms.
15. Disputes and Arbitration
Before filing any claim, contact us (Section 19) and allow 30 days to resolve it informally. Disputes not resolved informally will be decided by individual binding arbitration under the American Arbitration Association (AAA) Consumer Arbitration Rules, or in small claims court if the claim qualifies. You and Furni-Sure waive any right to a class action or jury trial. You may opt out of arbitration by emailing furnisure.ali@gmail.com within 30 days of first accepting these Terms.
16. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by California law. Any court action allowed under these Terms will be brought in the state or federal courts located in San Diego County, California.
17. Privacy and Communications
To complete a job we share your name, contact details, service address and job details with your Provider, and payment details with Stripe. Providers’ screening information is handled by Checkr. By using the Platform you agree to receive transactional emails (confirmations, quotes, invoices, receipts and cancellation notices) and calendar invitations about your jobs. Text messages are sent only if you opt in to them, and you can reply STOP at any time to stop them. See our Privacy Policy for details.
18. Changes and Termination
We may update these Terms by posting a new version with a new “Last updated” date; continued use of the Platform after an update means you accept it. Changes do not affect fees already invoiced. We may suspend or remove any user who violates these Terms. Sections 7 through 16 survive termination.
19. General Terms and Contact
These Terms, our Privacy Policy and any Provider agreement are the entire agreement between you and Furni-Sure about the Platform. If any part is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Furni-Sure may assign its rights under these Terms.
